The five-seat ES8 maintains the same impressive body dimensions as the six- and seven-seat versions, measuring 5,280 mm long, 2,010 mm wide, and 1,800 mm tall. However, it features a slightly shorter wheelbase of 3,130 mm compared to the three-row version's 3,250 mm. The vehicle offers a maximum cargo capacity of 3,084 liters with the second row folded, providing flexibility for daily use.

The new ES8 is built on Nio's 900-volt high-voltage architecture and features a dual-motor system. It comes standard with a 102-kWh battery pack delivering a CLTC range of 655 kilometers and includes an advanced driving assistance system powered by Nio's proprietary Shenji NX9031 chip.

The launch coincides with the eighth anniversary of ES8 deliveries, with over 210,000 users having purchased the model to date. Nio commemorated this milestone by donating the original ES8 (unit 0001) to the Beijing Auto Museum.

The third-generation ES8, launched in September 2025 at a starting price of 406,800 yuan, continues to perform exceptionally well. The model delivered 11,475 units in May alone, marking its seventh consecutive month exceeding 10,000 units. Cumulatively, ES8 deliveries in the first five months of 2026 reached 69,690 units, accounting for 46.30% of Nio's total deliveries and underscoring its crucial role in the company's lineup.
